• To coordinate rehabilitation construction and management of water dams for livestock
• To promote management and regulate the utilization and conservation of water catchments areas for sustainable livestock production
• To promote and strengthen public - private partnership in establishing livestock routes to water points, construction and maintenance of dams and charco's and livestock handling infrastructures.
• To develop guidelines and standards on water points development, and livestock handling infrastructures.
• To promote and establish draught animal power centers in pastoral areas with emphasis in dam scooping and donkey transport.
