OBJECTIVES

4.1 To develop leadership and management skills for professional women.

4.2 To promote advancement of professional women to policy-making and senior managerial positions.

4.3 To strengthen the link between TAWLAE and the rural farmers.

4.4 To promote and recognize the role of women as a key factor in agricultural production and environmental conservation.

4.5 To support and encourage research on gender issues in Agriculture and Environment

4.6 To develop gender desegregated data bases in areas of Agriculture and Environment to be used as a basis for influencing formulation of responsive policies.

4.7 To promote environmental conservation and environmentally sound agricultural practices in collaboration with other stakeholders and development partners.

4.8 To develop links with organization, both national and international, concerned with agricultural development and environmental conservation in collaboration with relevant institutions.

4.9 To promote gender responsive curricula and program development at all levels of education in the fields of agriculture and environment.

4.10 To encourage girls to take up science subjects as a foundation for a wider career choice.

4.11 To link the upcoming young women with senior professionals in Agriculture and Environment who act as mentors.

To promote and scaling-up of Agricultural and Environmental information to members and other stakeholders.
